32nd ICFF announces jury panel for national section

The 32nd Int’l Film Festival for Children and Youth in Iran announces jury panel for national section.

The 32nd edition of the International Film Festival for Children and Youth (ICFF) in Isfahan has named members of the jury panel for the National Section.

Iraj Tahmasb, Amrollah Ahmadjou, Gholamreza Ramezani, Sareh Bayat, Marjan Ashrafizadeh, Hamed Jafari, and Mohammad-Ali Mazaheri are on the panel.

Tahmasb is a graduate of theater at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran. He is a TV anchor, actor, director, and screenwriter of several films, including the ‘Kolah Qermezi’.

Ahmadjou is a television director and screenwriter who started his job via making short films. He has completed his education in cinematography at the High School of Television. His famous TV series is ‘Once Upon a Time’.

Jafari is a cinema and animation producer. He holds a degree in economics and is the chairman of Artwork Group. He began his professional career as a producer of cinematic animation and is currently an official producer at Iranian Cinema Producers’ Association. He has produced some of the best-selling animations in the history of Iranian cinema.

Ramezani is a director and screenwriter for children and the youth. He has authored numerous works in the field of children in cinema and television.

Bayat is an Iranian actress who graduated from acting school. She has won the Silver Bear for Best Actress at the 61st Berlin Film Festival in Germany for her role in ‘A Separation’.

Ashrafizadeh is a writer and director of cinema and television. She has a master's degree in drama literature from the Faculty of Cinema and Theater at the University of the Arts. She has also worked prolifically in the field of short films.

Mazaheri is a psychologist and professor at Shahid Beheshti University and dean of Iran Shahid Beheshti University, School of Education and Psychology. He is a member of the Iranian Psychological Association and specializes in child psychology. He has published numerous articles and books in the field of psychology in various journals.

According to the 32nd ICFF website, the event aims to enhance the cinematic products of this age bracket and introduce the top works in national and international arenas.

The festival aims to promote ethical values such as family unity, appropriate lifestyle, respect for humanity, self-esteem, social responsibility, environmental protection and it also seeks to create awareness of the uprising future challenges.

The ICFF is organized annually by the Iranian Organization of Cinema and Audiovisual Affairs, Farabi Cinema Foundation and the Municipality of Isfahan.

The 32nd ICFF is slated for August 19-26, 2019 in the Iranian historic city of Isfahan.
